Business Tax Receipt Data Download
All Current Businesses:
There are approximately 20,000 current businesses located within Seminole County. The current business list is not available for download at this time but can be purchased by completing the Public Data Order Form and selecting BTR4 as the report you would like to purchase. Once completed you may:
- Mail the form to the address on the bottom of the order form.
- Bring the form to our Sanford Business Tax Receipt Department.
Included are the business name, address, phone, mailing name, mailing address, owner name, owner title, business description and the date the business was established.
- Please note that two municipalities within Seminole County, Altamonte Springs and Oviedo, do not provide the business description.
Monthly and Weekly New Businesses:
- Listings are updated by 10 am Monday mornings, unless the office is closed for a holiday on Monday.
- The New Business Data File and the New Business Listing contain the same information.
- Included are the business name, address, phone, mailing name, mailing address, owner name, owner title, business description and the date the business was established.
- Please note that two municipalities within Seminole County, Altamonte Springs and Oviedo, do not provide the business description.
- Please take note that some of the businesses have requested no solicitation.
- In the Data Files, this is documented by the field
'No_Solicit'. It is recommended that you delete all fields with a .T. in the 'No_Solicit' field. - In the Data Listing they are this is documented by an asterisk (*).

- The New Business Data File can be used to create labels, or update an existing database.
- Requires some knowledge of Database applications such as Excel or Access.
- The weekly and monthly New Business data files are comma delimited files (.csv) that can be opened with Excel or Access.
- The New Business Listing is a printed list, mostly for clerical use only.
- Lists that may be printed in report format.
- All listings and information will be in a .PDF file that requires Adobe Acrobat Reader software to open the file. Please visit www.adobe.com to download a free reader if you are having trouble opening these PDF files.
Special Note
**The cities of Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Longwood, Oviedo, and Winter Springs are participating in One Stop Shopping.
These cities report the data monthly to the Office of the Seminole County Tax Collector. Therefore, the participating city data may not be available until the following month, however, the data will be contained in the 'monthly' download when specified in the dropdown list monthly selection.
For example: January businesses issued in a participating city may not be uploaded to our system until the end of February (usually around the 20th of the month).
