Understanding Your Tax Bill

The format of the property tax bill is designed to reflect each individual taxing district. In addition, ad valorem taxes (based on assessed value and millage rate) and non-ad valorem assessments (based on flat fees) are listed separately. These totals have been combined to determine one total amount due. (see image of tax bill below)

  1. Tax Bill Number (Real Estate Only):
    This identifies your 2007 tax bill. Use it to search online using our Tax Search feature to see if your current year taxes are paid.
  2. Property ID number:
    This is a unique number assigned to each property. Use it to search online using our Tax Search feature to see if your current year taxes are paid. Please have this number available when calling our tax office.
  3. Escrow CD:
    If an escrow code is shown in this area, your tax information has been requested by a mortgage service provider. If taxes are not escrowed, return the bottom stub with your payment.
  4. Property Owner(s):
    Verify the ownership. If you have sold this property, forward the notice to the new owner(s) or return it to the Tax Collector's Office.
  5. Mailing Address:
    if your mailing address differs, you may visit the Property Appraiser's Office.
  6. Legal Description:
    Verify the legal description. If any errors are found, notify the Property Appraiser's Office immediately at (407) 665-7506.
  7. Delinquent Tax Notice:
    A message will be noted on the tax bill if the prior year's taxes are unpaid. Prior year's taxes are NOT included in the total due shown. Please call 407-665-7641 for the prior year's taxes due.
  8. Total Taxes:
    No discount has been subtracted from this amount. See boxes on bottom of bill for the proper amount to pay.
  9. Amount Due:
    The total due shown in each box already reflects the discount according to the postmark of the payment.
